Creative Dance Camp
June 29 – July 2, 2009
This creative dance and craft camp is specifically designed for 3 to 5
year olds. The program includes a daily dance class, craft activities as
well as a snack. We will end our week with a small presentation for the
parents. Children will leave with a special memories scrapbook.

Theater Camp
July 13 – July 16, 2009
Theater Camp is for
6 to 12 year olds. This all day camp is filled with classes in acting,
dancing, and pantomime. At the end of the week the students will present
a play or pantomime for the parents.

DANCEcamp
Session 1: July 6 – July 9, 2009
Session 2: July 20 – July 23, 2009
DANCEcamp is a fun filled camp for 6 to 12 year
olds. This day camp offers lessons in Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, and
Hip-Hop. Students will learn some dance history, studying famous dancers
and learning about dance productions. Each session will present an
in-studio performance for the parents at the end of the session.

This class is for 6
to 8 year olds that are interested in trying ballet and jazz. One day is
classical ballet and the next is jazz.

Beginning Hip-Hop for ages 8 to 12. Students get a great workout
listening to the hottest new songs and learning the Hip-Hop style of
movement.

Intermediate
Hip-Hop for ages 8 to 12. Students will learn new choreography and build
upon what they learned in Beginning Hip-Hop. A great way to continue

Hip-Hop for ages
13-18. Students will enjoy this fast paced class that gives a great

Adult Classes

Derry Dance Center
is offering adult classes throughout July and August in Ballet, Jazz
and Hip-Hop. These are Beginner/Advanced Beginner level classes to get
you moving while having fun. Come and join us in a relaxed atmosphere
for some personal time while learning to dance.

Ballet Arts Summer Course
August 3 – August 21, 2009
The Ballet Arts Summer Course is a unique program
emphasizing the vital experience of the arts and their relationship to
the theater. This exciting combination motivates dancers to work toward
their artistic goals. The students will be taking classes in ballet,
modern and jazz as well as enrichment classes throughout the course.
Those enrolled in the three week program will present an in-studio
presentation on August 21, 2009
Monday through Friday – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm - $225.00 per week
Two week special - Take two weeks and get $50.00 off!
Three week special – Take three weeks and get $100.00 off!
Costume Construction
June 30 – August 4, 2009
This class will
teach the beginning level costume designer to construct a costume from beginning to
end. We will cover the basics of fabric selection, pattern placement,
construction of the costume, finishing touches and decorations. We will
have a class field trip to the fabric store where each student will
select a pattern and fabric to create a costume of their choice; this is
an excellent opportunity to get a jump start on your Halloween
creations! Classes will meet weekly with a discussion/instruction period
and then conclude with time to work on your garments.
Tuesdays – 5:30 – 7:00 pm - $60.00
*Please Note: The fee for the class includes all the instruction time, as well as the opportunity for one on one assistance during class on your garment. Additional costs will be incurred for your pattern, fabric and decoration choices.
