Summer

Theater Camp is for 6 to 12 year olds. This day camp is filled with classes in acting, dancing, and pantomime. At the end of the week the students will present a play or pantomime for the parents.
Monday through Thursday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This program is for 3 to 5 year olds. We introduce basic Ballet vocabulary through creative play with the aid of imagery and props. During the last 15 minutes of class we complete a take home craft.
Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:30 am

My daughter Madison has been with Derry Dance for 2 years. She enjoys attending every week and loves Ms. Christin. She is very caring and very attentive to the girls. The adult Hip-Hop class is great. Ms. Jena knows how to give you a great workout. It feel great to get back into dance after such a long time. Derry Dance Center is a great dance studio and I look forward to enjoying many more years.

This class is for 6 to 8 year olds that are interested in trying ballet and jazz. One day is classical ballet and the next is jazz.

The Ballet Arts Summer Course is a unique program emphasizing the vital experience of the arts and thier relationship to the theater. This exciting combination motivates dancers to work toward thier artistic goals. The students will take classes in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz as well as enrichment classes throughout the course. Those enrolled in the three week program will present an in-studio presentation on August 22, 2008

We are offering Open Ballet, Jazz and Modern classes throughout the summer for our Level students. These classes are recommended for students with previous dance training.
Open Ballet: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Open Jazz: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Open Modern: Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Derry Dance Center is offering adult classes throughout July and August in Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. These are Beginner/Advanced Beginner level classes to get you moving while having fun. Come and join us is a relaxed atmosphere for some personal time while learning to dance.
Adult Hip-Hop: Mondays 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Adult Jazz: Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Adult Ballet: Thursdays 7:00 - 8:00 pm

DANCEcamp is a fun filled camp for 6 to 12 year olds. This day camp offers lessons in Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Hip-Hop. Students will learn some dance history, studying famous dancers and learning about dance productions. Each session will present an in-studio performance for the parents at the end of the session.

Hip-Hop for ages 13 - 18. Students will enjoy this fast paced class that gives a great workout while learning cool moves and listening to the hottest songs.
Mondays 5:00 - 6:00 pm

Intermediate Hip-Hop for ages 8 to 12. Students will learn new choreography and build upon what they learned in Beginning Hip-Hop. A great way to continue your Hip-Hop education.
Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

Beginning Hip-Hop for ages 8 to 12. Students get a great workout listening to the hottest new songs and learning the Hip-Hop style of movement.
Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

This class will teach the beginning level sewer to construct a costume from beginning to end. We will cover the basics of fabric selection, pattern placement, constuction of the costume, finishing touches and decorations. We will have a class field trip to the fabric store where each student will select a pattern and fabric to create a costume of their choise; this is an excellent opportunity to get a jump start on your Halloween creations! Classes will meet weekly with a discussion/instruction period and then conclude with time to work on your garments.

Please Note: The fee for this class includes all the instuction time, as well as the opportunity for one on one assistance during class on your garment. Additional costs will be incurred for your pattern, fabric and decoration choices.
